Deposit:

By paying a deposit you and your party are agreeing to the rental agreement, house rules and cancellation policies.

Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund. See below for details.

Security Deposit:

A charge of £100 is made per booking (taken on 2nd balance payment) and is refunded back to you following your departure subject to there being no damage. The security deposit must be paid with your final balance payment.

We strongly recommend all Guests take out personal travel insurance to cover all eventualities on holiday and cancellation.

Cancellation Policy:

Final accommodation hire balances are due 60 days prior to arrival along with £100 security deposit. Should you cancel with at least 60 days notice you will be refunded in full.

If it is between 30 - 60 days cancellation notice is received is between 30 - 60 days before arrival then you will receive 50% refund. We will do out utmost to re-let your accommodation.

Cancellations received less that 30 days prior to arrival will receive no refund for accommodation. 

Ferry tickets will be subject to carrier's Terms and Conditions, however we will charge a £20 cancellation fee.

House Rules:

  • No pets are allowed under any circumstances.

  • Children are under the full responsibility of the adults present.

  • No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property or grounds.

  • Arrival Time shall be from 4.00pm (STRICTLY NOT BEFORE 4.00pm). On the morning of departure guests are requested to vacate the apartment no later than 10.00 am (STRICTLY NO LATER).

  • Only those persons named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the accommodation and the total number must not exceed the advertised capacity.

  • The Property will be used solely for the purpose of a holiday by the Guest and his party.

  • Access must be allowed the Owners and/or their representatives access to the property at any reasonable time during the period of the holiday.

  • The property and furniture, utensils, equipment, BBQ, fixtures and fittings in or on the Property must be kept in the same condition and state of repair as at the commencement of the holiday and report any breakages as soon as possible.

  • The possessions of the Guest, including cars and contents, is entirely at his own risk at all times and the Owners shall accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused.

  • Security of the property is your responsibility during your stay. All doors and windows must be secured each time you leave the property. You are liable for the losses due to poor security. Any belongings left outside of the property are done so at the Guests’ own risk and the Owners are not responsible for any damage or theft incurred as a result of this.

  • All rubbish and recycling must be removed from the property and deposited in the receptacles provided as set out in the Guestbook. Failure to dispose of your rubbish and recycling in the correct receptacles will incur a £30.00 fee which will be deducted from your bond.

Single Sex Parties and Minimum Ages

Our accommodations are intended for couples and family holidays. Single sex couples and groups are most welcome to stay at Old Shanklin Apartment. We do not accept bookings such as Stag or Hen Parties. Bookings by couples or groups where all persons staying are under 21 years of age are not accepted. We may apply discretion in certain circumstances and if you are unsure if your party falls into any of the above categories, please call reservations on 07801 276935. We reserve the right to retain the keys for accommodation if this condition is contravened.

We also reserve the right to refuse or terminate any booking where we feel that the comfort of our guests may be put at risk by any persons staying at Old Shanklin Accommodation.

Failure to comply with the conditions will result in the monies being deducted from the bond and any shortfall being pursued.

Ferries

Ferries can be booked on your behalf via Wightlink or Red Funnel

Feel free to ask for rates before you book. You will be required to provide your preferred route, time of arrival and departure and your car registration number. Once the booking is made we will send you an E ticket and details of how to pay for the ferry (Bank Transfer). We ask that you check that the details are correct before you make payment. Payment is required immediately on receipt of correct ticket details. Should the payment not be made within a reasonable time we reserve the right to cancel the ferry.

Ferry tickets will be subject to carrier's Terms and Conditions, however we will charge a £20 cancellation fee.

Car sizes should include tow bars, bikes etc. Old Shanklin will not be liable for any surcharges at the port.
An e ticket will be sent to you on booking, we ask you to check that the details are correct.
You are liable for all charges for Wightlink if you do not show up. Please make sure you have travel insurance even if you are travelling from within the UK.
All carriage subject to Wightlink/Red Funnel Limited Conditions of Carriage by Sea, and subject to Wightlink/Red Funnel Limited Standard Terms of Business, copies of which are available on request.
