Shanklin is a great town to get everything you need. There are a range of shops for you to get into the local swing of things to eat while you are here or to take home. Shanklin is also an excellent town should you need anything practical like outdoor gear, shoe repair etc...it has it all.

  • Ventnor Haven on Ventnor Seafront sell fish freshly caught daily

  • Deli-icious Polish Deli & Bakery

  • Grace's Bakery for more traditional bakery goods

There are also 2 Co-ops in Shanklin and Morrisons in Lake.​

A Little Further Afield

  • The Beach Shack, Sandown. Excellent beach side 'cafe' Inside and outside seating, roof terrace and service with a smile, 'best crab cakes on the Island', selection of burgers, seafood specials, & homemade soups, good wine, great views.

  • Bonchurch Inn, Bonchurch Excellent Italian, owned and run by 3 generations of a lovely Italian family. Beautiful courtyard & character Inn.

  • Cantina Ventnor with selection of modern dishes with a very European influence. Excellent selection of homemade breads for picnics.

  • Buddle Inn, Niton (perfect for a walk to St Catherine’s lighthouse). Good pub food, a roaring fire in the winter and good outside eating and views for the summer.

  • The Taverners, Godshill Amazing food, nice atmosphere, just a lovely big pub and garden. 

  • Michelangelo’s, Ryde more authentic Italian and just a train ride away.
